Livsmedel
04/07/2026 13:00 - 16:00 Årstads mycket tillfälliga konsthall, Falkenberg
Welcome to the opening of Åsa Dybwad Norman’s exhibition Provisions at Årstads Mycket Tillfälliga Konsthall, outside Falkenberg.
Textile artist Åsa Dybwad Norman is participating in Art Inside Out’s residency AIO Co-Lab and working together with a group of young people. They have created the exhibition Livsmedel, which is now presented at Årstads Mycket Tillfälliga Konsthall.
Åsa Dybwad Norman takes as her starting point the dairy’s historical legacy of workers and women and the traces left by the development and dismantling of industrialization. What stories are hidden in the walls of a disused dairy? How can co-creative artistic processes bring to life memories and experiences that are woven into our historical spaces?
The exhibition Livsmedel features textiles, collages, sculptures, videos and installations that have been developed in a collective process and delve into what happens when embodied knowledge in food production disappears. Can it be reborn in artistic expression?
It’s happening in Årstad! In conjunction with the opening of the exhibition Livsmedel, Årstad’s Very Temporary Art Hall also opens this summer’s group exhibition Paradiset, in the Dairy and at Årstad’s Very Disused School Hall. Take part in several artists’ works, performances, drinks and dairy food, and take a day trip to Årstad. Art Inside Out offers a free opening bus from Gothenburg, with pick-up also in Varberg and Falkenberg.
