Fågelle

In conjunction with the exhibition Dreams and Visions by the Sea at Mjellby Art Museum and different locations in Halmstad, Art Inside Out has invited additional artists and curators to a participate in series of programs exploring the legacy and underlying ideas of surrealism. In artist presentations, performances and participatory works, the artists form dialogues with Mjellby Art Museum in ways that allow for clashes as well as new perspectives and encounters to emerge.

Klara Andersson is a sound artist and musician who grew up in Sennan outside Halmstad. She works with issues related to identity, value and power. Text, sound and performance have become the mediums she uses to move seamlessly between different art forms and contexts.

Through performance works, installations and audio play, she examines unexplored digital materials and human stories as archaeological artefacts from her generation; chat conversations, webcam videos and forgotten websites that all carry information about our times.

Under the name Fågelle, she makes music that is a wild collision of the lyrically beautiful and the limitlessly raw, where exuberant soundscapes meet poetry in Swedish. Her voice tears through the music and becomes a point of gravity from which stories grow about existential angst and experiences of being a woman.

Fågelle will present a new performance/music concert at Mjellby Art Museum on November 16.
