Tilda Lovell and Karin Drake

Tilda Lovell and Karin Drake have collaborated in creating a series of sculptures and video installations installed in the rooms of the castle, as well as sculptures and an AR-work in the garden.

Tilda Lovell and Karin Drake´s artworks are inspired by the sculptures depicting creatures in wood and stone that forms part of the castle interior; by the shapes in nature and the forest that surrounds the castle, as well as the salon’s pianola and the empty darkroom. The works are based on both physical and filmed material gathered on the site. Together they form playful illusions, distortions and leaps of imagination where details and creatures that populate Tjolöholm are highlighted. Through shadow play and projections, the artists reveal another reality, between dream and wakefulness, light and darkness.
