Art Inside Out is currently working on building the foundation for an international collaboration with the residency organization Finis Terrae in France, the art center Cneai= in Paris and the residency and biennial organization Anda & Fala in the Azores in Portugal, in which art and research meet on issues of ecological literacy, sustainability and climate action.

Art Inside Out is currently developing the foundation for a long term international collaboration with the residency plattform Finis Terrae in France, the art center cneai= in Paris and the biennial Anda & Fala, located in the archipelago of the Azores in Portugal. The collaboration forms part of the French-Swedish exchange program Resonances, initiated by Iaspis, International Programme for Visual and Applied Arts, the French Institute and the Swedish Embassy in Paris with the aim to promote exchange and collaboration between Swedish and French cultural institutions.

The collaboration titled Between the Rains includes exchange and collaboration through residencies, new artistic productions and exhibitions in each country (Sweden, France and Portugal) exploring how contemporary art – organizations as well as artists – in collaboration with current scientific research can contribute to knowledge production and artistic perspectives on the climate crisis and questions of ecology, sustainability and human interaction with nature. The collaboration generates a joint EU application to the Creative Europe Program in which Art Inside Out is a co-applicant for a four-year collaborative project.

In November, the partners met for intensive planning days at the home of artist Caroline MÃ¥rtensson and designer Patrik Bengtsson, who created a nature house in the village of Steninge outside Halmstad, and who participated in discussions regarding the thematic framework of the collaboration.
