Opening Party Markings | Joshua Idehen and Lerin/Hystad

To celebrate the opening of the exhibition Markings – 10 Years with art Inside Out, we invite you to an evening of live concerts featuring Joshua Idehen and Lerin/Hystad at Festaurang in Halmstad, in collaboration with Musik Hallandia. Make a full day of it—starting with the exhibition opening, art, and socializing at Hallands Konstmuseum—and wrap up the evening with music, dancing, and good company!

JOSHUA IDEHEN—whose acclaimed performances have taken him on European tours and to the Way Out West festival—invites you into a poetic, moving universe. Blending pulsating house beats, electronic soundscapes, and spoken word, his work speaks to both the heart and the dance floor—offering exactly what we need right now. Together with creative partner Ludvig Parment, he creates an immersive landscape where longing, resistance, and hope intertwine through house music, jazz beats, and a club atmosphere.

LERIN/HYSTAD, an artist duo working at the intersection of visual art and experimental music, will open the evening with an audiovisual performance. By connecting sensors to plants, their electrical impulses are converted into sound—with the plants themselves controlling the tones and rhythms—creating ambient soundscapes through improvisation on electric guitar and light-controlled synthesizers. Lerin/Hystad are featured in the *Vägmärken – 10 Years of Art Inside Out* exhibition with works combining drawing and sound, and now you have the chance to see them perform live.
