Kristina Müntzing

Kristina Müntzing is a Swedish artist who uses crafts to visualize radical political movements. By intertwining images into hybrid sculptures and collages, she links different times and geographies with each other.

Müntzing has come to take an interest in the growth of the textile industry based on the socialist movements that arose at the birth of industrialism. In connection with the residence Shift Äskhult, she wants to investigate stories from the countryside by combining textile motifs and photographs into digital image collages.

Müntzing has an MFA from Goldsmiths College in London as well as an MFA from HDK-Valand.
