Anna Westberg
Anna Westberg is a dancer and choreographer with an interest in archives and the creation of shared stories. The choreographic work is a way of investigating how internal and external landscapes meet and mirror each other. Anna Westberg has worked with Atalante in Gothenburg and is now based in Stockholm, where she often presents her work at Weld. With a background in traditional dance techniques, Anna has immersed herself in improvisation and somatic practices. She has a master’s degree from DOCH, Stockholm.
Hylte as a geographical location and the people who live and work there, formed the site of her choreographic investigation during the residency. Past and ongoing stories were processed and shaped through dance and actions with concrete materials. The work was expressed in performance where the form of a lecture was mixed with dance. The performance was held at the “hembygdsgård” in Unnaryd, Forum Hyltebruk and Rydöbruk Missionshus 1–3 October 2020.
