Emergency Residence

Art Inside Out has since 2022 run the coordination of the Emergency Residence in the aftermath of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in Halland. In 2023, the Emergency Residence was carried out in collaboration with SWAN’s Emergency Residency coordinators and the organization Artist At Risk. In Halland Art Inside Out collaborated with two intependent artistic platforms – Egnared Eremitage Residency in Falkenberg and TAG AIR in Halmstad – which have acted as residency hosts. The two artists invited to the Emergency Residence in Halland in 2023 were Ukrainian artists Nataliia Dechenko, who works with photography, film and documentation/archiving of cultural heritage, and Natallia Kulyk, who works with painting and photography. Their residency in Halland were two and six months respectively.
