Make sculptures of straw – workshop with Alexander Wireen

Join us in creating creatures out of straw that will live in the landscape in the museum’s courtyard! We start from an artwork in the exhibition. Or something completely different that you enjoy. We have a full table of straw, strings, knives, needle and thread. The artist Alexander Wireen is leading the workshop together with the museum’s educators.

You can collect your artwork at the museum from December 3rd.

The workshop is free and open to everyone. From 10 years, younger accompanied by an adult.

In conjunction with the exhibition Dreams and Visions by the Sea at Mjellby Art Museum and different locations in Halmstad, Art Inside Out has invited additional artists and curators to a participate in series of programs exploring the legacy and underlying ideas of surrealism. In artist presentations, performances and participatory works, the artists form dialogues with Mjellby Art Museum in ways that allow for clashes as well as new perspectives and encounters to emerge.
