Matilda Ruta

Matilda Ruta is an artist and illustrator who works with storytelling. Research is a significant and important part of her artistic process. Ruta often collaborates with children in a process of mutual learning – a relationship that is based on respect for children’s own world of ideas. The relationship between word and image is reversed–the images move the story forward whilst the words function as illustrations.
