MASU: Mattias Gunnarsson & Susanne Westerberg

MASU can be said to be a method rather than an expression. The focus is on collaborative practise, where the two artists share the space and allow the participants’ individual intentions to be both challenged and renegotiated. MASU functions as a migratory body that is activated in temporary site-specific installations. MASU takes drawing, conversation and spatial sculptural work as a points of departure, where the practical doing is the engine of the process.

Mattias Gunnarsson is a designer and teaches at HDK – Valand in Gothenburg. As a designer, he is mainly interested in relationships, references and repetitions.

Susanne Westerberg is an artist based in Varberg. In her artistic practise, relationships with our planet, nature, each other and ourselves are in focus. Westerberg is connected to HDK – Valand in Gothenburg.
