Katja Tukiainen 

Katja Tukiainen creates site-specific stories in different art forms such as comics, paintings and animations. Tukiainen’s visual language is characterized by a feminist girl room aesthetic combined with an expressive personal style and a warm color scale. The girl as a motif recurs throughout her artistry and can be found in her comic novels and as tattoos. Several of Tukiainen’s works are autobiographical and deal with inner change, motherhood, travel and about working in the aid industry.
