Knife and masonite – sounds by Klara Andersson
16/11/2024 14:00 - 15:00, Mjellby Art Museum, Halmstad
Knife and masonite – A sound work and performance in dialogue with art by the Halmstad surrealist Thea Ekström.
Thea Ekström’s paintings are skins perforated by thousands of small puncture wounds.
I collect dreams, nightmares, thoughts in near sleep and put them on the floor.
It shakes and howls inside my objects. I’m here, here, here, here, here and here.
Inside Out presents a newly composed sound artwork by musician and sound artist Klara Andersson, also performing under her artist name Fågelle. The work is created in dialogue with the exhibition Thea Ekström – Tonsäker Surrealism which is shown at Mjellby Art Museum.

In conjunction with the exhibition Dreams and Visions by the Sea at Mjellby Art Museum and different locations in Halmstad, Art Inside Out has invited additional artists and curators to a participate in series of programs exploring the legacy and underlying ideas of surrealism. In artist presentations, performances and participatory works, the artists form dialogues with Mjellby Art Museum in ways that allow for clashes as well as new perspectives and encounters to emerge.
