Saadia Hussain

In Saadia Hussain’s artistic practise, the creative process functions as a tool for exploration, questioning, creation and storytelling. She wants more people to discover the power, magic and possibilities of art. Hussain works as an artist, art educator and art activist based in Stockholm. Through her work, she wants to spark discussions about what and where home is, and about how to share it with others. In her work as an artist, she is driven by a strong belief that all people need art in their everyday lives.

Hussain has led and is leading art projects nationally and internationally with an emphasis on accessibility, democracy, participation and freedom of expression. She has developed methods that enable non-professional participants to participate in collective creation.
